Professional expertise and experience was then gained over several years at some of London’s finest workshops, including Spink Restoration (now Arlington Conservation), Gordon Maxwell, and H.C. Baxter and Sons.

Having a background firmly rooted in cabinet making and antiques, it is antique furniture restoration / conservation that forms the backbone of our work. We offer an extensive range of restoration skills including all manner of woodwork, carving, turning, inlay and marquetry, gilding, traditional wax, oil and shellac polishes, french polishing, rush and cane seating, and replicas. Much of our work is for Cambridge University. Not only the furniture but the panelling and historical fittings that are such a feature of many of the venerable buildings. The personal service we provide, the wide range of skills offered and quality of work is highly regarded by many of the colleges, who value the fact that as we are a two man workshop they can be sure they will always see one or both of us, and their work will be carried out by our capable hands.
